Writing NaNoWriMo

I'm taking part in NaNoWriMo this year, and this is my public blog to track my progress and gather feedback as I go.

The final product is likely to be different from what appears here as I edit it throughout the month. I have not yet decided whether I will come back and change these posts as I go.

I hope you enjoy reading. I'd really like to get your feedback, whether criticism or praise!

  1. I'm a fellow NaNoWriMo 2010er, but aiming for a late content sprint. I'm really enjoying the adjectives in this story. The passage: "That afternoon she noticed a headache setting in, the wavy lines of a migraine appearing in front of her" is a favourite line. I read somewhere of a reader with treasured passages in novels who knew exactly which books and which pages to open -- a bit like a mnemonic cartography. This passage is memorable; it joins that category. And … as a completely random observation, the black background is good visual metaphoric accompaniment to the story. Looking forward to the rest of it.
